Default Paypal Settings

Is there a place to change the way Paypal handles transactions? Right now, when a user hits the submit button to buy a word, the Paypal page requires an account, the person has to log in. I want it set up where the payment can be made by someone with or without a Paypal account.

Thank You-

Hello, thanks for registering on Taree Internet.

I'm not quite sure i understand. Paypal is the default payment gateway for the Word Cloud script as it's the most commonly used payment processor. In order to send funds and buy their "word" with Paypal the user must have a registered Paypal account, unless there is a way to send funds without an account i'm not aware of?

Or do you want to offer alternate payment methods such as Moneybookers etc?

Once the user reaches the Paypal log-in screen, the Word Cloud details are allready submitted to your admin panel. So if they just close the browser window or hit the back button instead of logging in everything will be stored in the Word Cloud.

You could always put a note in the footer of the Buy page telling them to do this, and to contact you to make alternate payment arrangements. When they pay you then you can just approve their link.

Let me know if i'm on the right track with what you need?

Default Error on loading

Hi, I just picked up a site that had your script installed (airaventura//com)
Upon uploading the script (I followed the instructions - several times), I kept getting the following error when trying to reach the admin panel:
-----------------
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@airaventura.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.airaventura.com Port 80

------------------------

Tried deleting all the files and starting again - same thing. Tried the zip file from here in case the script was no good - same thing.

It's probably something basic that I've managed to stuff up and wondering if you could point me in the right direction? The CHMOD setting were per the instructions and the script seems to be communicating with the database fine. Deleted the setup files etc.

Thanks for your help

Hello, i just took a look at airaventura.com and it's working perfect. Maybe your browser has cached the internal server error page.

Edit, i even bought the word "Test" and followed it through to the Paypal screen, so you are good to go. Just delete my test word, set your pricing, adjust the templated in the Admin panel and your set.

Default Error on loading

Thanks for the superfast response!!! - greatly appreciated.

The site looks to be working fine - it's getting into the admin section that I don't seem to be getting anywhere on.

/admin takes me to the sever error.

I've cleared the cache etc and still getting the same error. I've also just tried changing browsers - and have tried 3 different computers (2 Macs and a Windows PC).

It's like I've missed something or done something on the setup up - just struggling with where to look.

Thanks again for your help.

Yes i tried and i'm getting the same error.

Did you chmod the /admin/parsed and /upload to 777

You could re-upload just the /admin/ folder again overwriting the existing one making sure your FTP client is in Automatic mode.

It's an odd error for that folder because generally an Internal Server Error is due to .htaccess problems but that folder isn't effected by this scripts .htaccess.

If re-uploading the /admin/ folder doesn't work, try raising the permissions on that folder temporarily to 777 to test if it corrects it.

After uploading the /admin folder and checking the permissions - the admin/folder is already set to 777 and the parsed folder is also 777

I'll delete the whole account and start again - I must have inadvertently done something.

Appreciate your help and will let you know if that fixes the problem.

At least the problem led me to here, and that was a good find - you have a cool site!

Hopefully all goes well this time. If you want you can PM me a temporary FTP and MySql access and i can install it, although you sound like you know what you are doing so it could be a server incompatability but i sort of doubt it when the index page and buy a word process worked.

Also thanks about the site, i've been a bit slack with updates recently because a few other sites of mine and clients have needed urgent work.. But i'm also building a heap more tools for Taree Internet they just arn't live yet.

Busynic

I received your PM with the FTP/cPanel details, and i have installed the Word Cloud for you and it's now working 100%

You just need to delete the temporary FTP/cPanel log-in you sent me, and you can change the default pass for the Word Cloud admin panel.

Then you just need to set-up your Paypal details, set the pricing and tweak the templates to add a logo etc which can all be done from the Word Clouds Admin panel.

Glad i could help, and if there's anything else don't hesitate to ask.
