If you submit your articles on a article submission sites and post your link in social bookmarkings you can't get traffic from it (bookmarking). However, you can get your traffic from that certain site (the article submission site and not the bookmarking site, as far as I know).

What I mean, for example, you submit an article to ezinearticles website and it got approved, you bookmark the page where your article is posted. Your website can't directly benefit from your bookmarks. However, your article page will have the traffic and will direct to your website.

Twitter is great for getting traffic to your site you just have to get lots of followers. Squidoo is great for article marketing once you learn how to use it.
