Hi everyone,
Can anyone explain briefly why yahoo and google are so different ranking websites?
For example yahoo always shows much more links then google when you check any website and some of my sites do well on google and poor on yahoo and others the reverse.
Is it therefore impossible to rank highly on both at the same time?
What is the main difference with the two?
Anyone know why yahoo always shows many more backlinks then google does?

They have a very different algorithm and besides that yahoo shows more backlinks because they also count nofollow as backlinks whereas google doesn't.

They both are the competitors and so they have different spider programs .Which different in ranking different websites .

As I said, Google, Yahoo and MSN (now Bing) has different algorithm that figures out the quality and relevance of the website to it's content and different spiders that crawl through the website.

Google And Yahoo Both Have own Different Algorithms, As per your Backlinks query I would like to say that Google don't follow No follow Link while Yahoo crawl all links
