hey, james here... i've been running a small blog now for a little over a year, and just recently after reading alot on some of these different forums ive started trying to monetize my blog with adsense and am looking to find different easy ways to send lots of new traffic. So far since i started ive just been dropping alot of links in comments i post on others blogs.. and doing the social bookmarking thing which is where most of my traffic comes from using the automated software from bmdemon.pcti-system.com .. which im sure most of you are probably using also. But I was jus curious, as im still fairly new to this, what are some other easy effective ways i could drive alot of new traffic to my blog? And furthermore, for those other methods for traffic are you aware of any other software like bm demon that will automate those methods for me that isnt going to cost me much?? As I work 40 hours a week and often find myself with very limited time to work on this project... Any advice / comments / suggestions would be very appreciated!! thanks

There's a lot of ways to drive traffic to your website. Using twitter as a resource tool to twit your followers on your new post can be really helpful. Even if twitter is a nofollow it still can drive traffic to your blog. If you have other social networking accounts like multiply and myspace, make a link to your website. You can also do link exchanges but only to relevant blogs to yours. Do not overdo it or you can get ban.

I am not sure if you really benefit from directory and classified ads submission. IMO, they no longer work. Don't expect to get quality traffic from these two sources.

There are so many articles and research about increase website traffic. The follow methods are helpful to increase your website traffic:
1) Optimize high traffic keywords related to your business
2) Give freebies, for example, free million dollar contest, free gifts, free horoscope
3) Get more external links
4) Offer resource page links like Google tools, SEO tool, SEO services
5) update your web more frequently which your audiences are fond

There are lot's of methods to drive traffic to your website. The thing is... how will you do it? In a blog, if you want to drive traffic to your blog you can do social bookmarking and using social networking or even micro-blogging (like twitter). In a website, you can either drive traffic or link build with article submission, but be cautious because some article submission sites limits the links you can put, either in the resource box or in the content itself.
