Hi Guys,

I own a ecommerce website, say .Example.co.uk (targeting for UK visitors) and it has PR 6 at the moment.
I mean I really don't know why I am not getting any good search ranking for my site. My site has a good number of quality back links and my competitor site has lesser back links, but still they are getting good search ranking and why not me, they also have a PR 6.
I've been thinking is it related to something difference with SEO for international website? Is there anything that I can do to target UK customers?
OR is it b’coz of my product page having more no. of back links than my home page. Does it make any difference?
I mean though I have PR 6 and good quality backlines I don't know really
Why my site is not having a rank in google.co.uk search? But my competitor’s site being PR 6 and lesser back links than my site, they rank on 1st page of Google search.

Any SEO Experts can give a valuable info???

its impossible to say really without seeing the site. is it optimized? well? over?

PR6 should lend itself to powerful serp performance if everything else is right.

That's actually a really good quality to have, many people just hammer the homepage with links which isn't the most natural link profile.

As SEO Ibiza said, it's really hard to give specific advice without seeing your site and your competitors to compare. When it comes down to two sites, that are similar in regards to backlinks and Pagerank it's either anchor text used in the backlinks or onpage differences that's causing one to rank higher.

In both situations, we would need to see the sites to make a comparison.

So is your site ranking well for other terms, and still getting good traffic? It may be the case you are beating your competitor on a lot of the product search terms, but he's beating you on the main term.

Have you set the Geo-Targeting to the UK in Google Webmaster Tools? SEO Ibiza has set his site to the UK, so he will be able to give you more specifics on how the UK Google rankings responded to the change.

It's basic really. High PR does not necessarily mean good position in the SERPs.
You need to do some search engine optimization

That's true, for instance i've got a PR7 site that gets about 30 visitors a day and ranks for hardly anything. The only reason it's got a high toolbar PR is it's got 2xPR8 backlinks with horrible anchor text.

a PR7 site is quite a resource to drive other sites from though, whether it ranks itself or not.

..where do I get 2 x PR8 links with horrible anchor text from?

I also have the same question.
I find that in Google search result pages, the PR of the website in the front position is lower than the below. What's the matter? What's the relationship between the position and PR? Or they are just two unallied things?

SERPs or Search Engine Results Page is different from PR. SERPs is the listing of web pages returned by a search engine in response to a keyword query. In short, PR is like a link popularity checker or something.

However, the two coexist. I have a blog that has PR3 but don't appear in SERPs. It now depends on how you optimize your webpage especially the main page of your website.

Your Site Have PR 6 but to get the good ranking many things does varies..You have to create a very good campaign to get the good ranking
