Ok I have asked this question in all the best places (WMW) SEO Pro group in WPW and a few others, and never received more than a shoulder shrug and a "dunno"

and then the thread slips to the bottom of the pile and is gone, so am trying again here, where Amigo will probably make more sense out of it than everyone else put together so far

We have a client with a great site. They have all kinds of brilliant rankings and are going very well in general. They sell say "luxury widgets"

the site is a .com, PR5, hosted in the UK but selling globally.

for their main term, luxury widgets, they are #1 (sitelinks) on Google.co.uk, and alternate between 1 & 2 (mini sitelinks) on Google.com global.

Our issue is that Google.com global is entirely different to Google.com US results. we are not talking about minor geo variations here, but that from being very powerful on Google.com global, to not even in the top 500 places on searches performed in the States.

and we're not discussing the difference between UK & US, or any other country index, were talking about using Google.com, but from the UK, or Spain, or anywhere else (#1) , then comparing it to searches done on Google.com in the States. (not there at all)

this just doesnt make any sense we all know there are geo variations, but not from #1 to not even in the index?

any ideas, clues or questions anyone please?
