When you're doing SEO, be patient because the results will show after a month or so. And may I know why are you optimizing for PR? If you are optimizing for PR then you should make useful and quality contents for your website. Submit it to high authority websites or what they called high PR sites, but make sure that your content is somewhat related to that category or that certain website.

Just make more and more backlinks. If you want to know more about SEO. Find some SEO articles from SEO sites like SEOmoz etc.

Re directory submission my personal experience is; wastage of time, except Yahoo directoy and Dmoz etc and you know how much is Cost? Yeah the Blogging is great but should not be HURRY!

However, I never tried link building for my site lakho.com, I just added contents and you will see no PR but it giving me reasonable traffic. But honestly if you want to see little Green bar at top you have to look for some quality links. As I am looking for my new website http://www.stickywebmedia.com/

Please some give me Great and real Advise to get solid links, thanks appreciated!

Keep building links for your website. Also keep updating your website in regular time intervals. Ofcourse unique and useful content strongly recommended.
