You can contact that site webmaster and ask them to link. Make sure the site is relevant.

Webmasters generally don't do one way links, only to you. Sometimes they do link exchanges. It is difficult to get any one way links when you have such a one-sided commercial site like you do. You do not have space for link exchanges and unless you get links from your clients there are 10s of thousands of web design sites out there looking to get one-way links and you will be the hundredth in that line.

I think you are talking about Three way linking. They are considers as one way links.

Link Exchange is a way to gain backlinks. You'll put the link of your link exchange partner to your website (in your resource page) and so your link exchange partner is.

A piece of advice when making link exchange: have link exchange in websites within same niche. =)

Link exchanges have lost their importance since 2007. Search engines are granting rankings to those websites which follow a natural pattern in their Search engine optimization process.

Try to follow a natural pattern in SEO promotion, and it will surely help your website to score higher rankings. However you can still try exchanging links with few trusted niche websites. You should make sure not to exchange links with websites which are completely unrelated to your business website.
